Who we are VALLE SAN MIGUEL is the trademark of our company “Valle San Miguel SAC”, which was founded in year 2010, but has a trajectory of more than 50 years as farmers engaged in a continuous in field learning in harmony with nature. Our “San Miguel” farm is located in the Peruvian north coast, in the Piura Region. Our History in the valley starts 50 years ago, originated even way back in the so called COLONIZATION OF THE SAN LORENZO VALLEY, in which Mr. Miguel Avilés and Mr. Ciro Avilés were actively involved. .

This certification is necessary to be able to export our products (mango, avocado, and tangerine) to Europe, even when certificates have been issued for other countries by stamping the applicable seal.
In VALLE SAN MIGUEL fields are organically grown under strict international standards such as those regulated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Organic Program (USDA NOP).
We have managed to align social audit standards with control practices in order to lighten the burden of audit on suppliers. A supplier is now able to conduct an audit and share it with several customers instead of having to conduct different audits for each customer.
Our growing operations and minimally processed products (fresh) have the Primus GFS certification mainly focused on Food Safety of produce for human consumption.
Our compliance of Good Agricultural Practice standards is backed by the Global GAP certification, an internationally renowned standard for agricultural production that ensures a safe and sustainable food production.
Good agricultural practices are not only focused on the product, but also on people; therefore, together with "Global GAP" we developed GRAPS, a voluntary module ready to evaluate social practices, as well as aspects associated with the worker’s health, safety and wellbeing.
